    Love the watch, but sharp edges

    Watch was delivered as pictured, however some of the edges are sharp making it uncomfortable to wear at times. I’m trying to find a way to grind them down a bit because I do like the watch, just wish the edges were a bit less sharp where the watch face connects to the band.

Frequently asked questions

Is this watch water-resistant?

Yes. This watch features 5 ATM water resistance and a sapphire-hardened mineral glass. It's built to handle everyday moisture (rain, handwashing) and the scratch-resistant glass ensures durability in daily wear.
Can I easily swap the straps on the watch?

Yes, all our models have interchangeable straps with a quick-release mechanism. This lets you change the look or replace straps without any tools.
On the back of both halves, you will find a small pin. Push it gently inwards to easily remove the strap. To attach a new strap, simply simply reverse the process.
How do I start, stop and reset the chronograph (stopwatch) function?

The chronograph is operated via two pushers. The upper pusher starts and stops the timing. The lower pusher resets all chronograph hands to zero. Press the upper pusher once to start, press it again to stop, then press the lower pusher to reset.
Keep in mind that the chronograph hands will not move, unless you use the pushers.
Can I record multiple intervals (lap times) with the chronograph?

The chronograph measures elapsed time but does not store lap times. You can stop the chronograph to read an intermediate time and then restart it to continue timing, but previous intervals are not saved. Pressing the reset button clears the entire measurement.
Does using the chronograph affect normal timekeeping?

No. The chronograph operates independently and does not affect the regular time display.
What if the chronograph hands aren’t aligned at zero?

If the chronograph hands do not return exactly to 12 o’clock after resetting, they can be recalibrated. Pull the crown fully out, then press and hold both pushers until the hands enter reset mode. Use the upper pusher to align the hands, then push the crown back in.
What kind of power does the chronograph use, and how do I maintain it?

Lilienthal chronographs are available with either solar-powered or quartz movements. Solar models recharge through light exposure and require no battery replacement. Quartz models use a long-life battery that typically lasts several years. When replacement is needed, professional servicing ensures the watch is properly resealed.
What are the differences between Lilienthal’s chronograph models?

All Lilienthal chronographs share the same stopwatch function but differ in power source, materials, and design focus. Chronograph, Chronograph LP, and Chronograph Meteorite are quartz-powered, with LP focusing on dial expression and Meteorite featuring a genuine meteorite dial, making each piece unique. Chronograph Solar is powered by light and visually highlights its solar panels as part of the dial design. Octachrono is the most compact and robust option, with a sportier case for tougher daily wear.
How accurate is the watch?

Our quartz watches are incredibly accurate, typically losing or gaining only a few seconds per month. This means you can rely on your watch to keep precise time without frequent adjustments – perfect for everyday wear and busy lifestyles.
What is sapphire glass, and what does sapphire-coated mineral glass mean?

Pure sapphire glass, often found in high-end luxury watches, offers the highest scratch resistance. It provides optimal protection against scratches. Sapphire-coated mineral glass means that a regular watch glass has been reinforced with a fine layer of sapphire glass, providing high scratch resistance as well.
How does Superluminova work?

Superluminova is a special substance that glows in the dark after being exposed to light. It needs to be charged with light to glow. The brightness and duration of the glow depend on several factors, including the duration of exposure to light. Bright LED light, for example, works better than natural light on a cloudy day. The angle also matters; the watch charges less when it's moving on your wrist compared to when it's directly under a light source.
If something seems wrong, what is the warranty/repair process?

You’re covered by a clear process: warranty cases go through the portal with a free return label and documented issue handling; if it’s outside warranty, repairs are assessed and quoted before you decide. That structure is there to keep a mechanical product serviceable over time, not disposable.
